Sculptures 2
These sculptures were made from some molten remnants recovered after the Ash Wednesday fires destroyed my parent in law's house at Moggs Creek in 1983. These strange molten blobs have been part of my 'collection' and I have always wondered what to do with them. Following my recent experiments in small sculptural forms, I decided to get them out, polish them and mount them on stands to at least let them 'see the light of day' ... they are still rather haunting reminders of the ferocity and destructive power of those fires... there was so little remaining as the house evaporated in the maelstrom...
