PIXELPANS 2

These PIXELPANS are of a more industrial nature, but still with the notion of a 'gestural movement' in mind (called 'slow shutter camera panning' in its analogue equivalent)...

Below are two versions of the same image showing differing image & movement resolutions...

Again, two differing versions of the same image ...

PIXELPANS 1

Some more work from my 'pixel deconstruction' series... I call these PIXELPANS as they are a digital replication of analogue slow shutter, camera panning techniques...

They create a rather more gestural approach to making images... still a work in progress...

These landscapes are rather dark & moody and a little wilder in gesture...

PIXELMORPHS 2

Here is another from my PIXELMORPH series

I have been playing with a number of methods to reduce images to their most basic form...

Here is an example showing such variations ...

The original for comparison ...

PIXELMORPHS 1

Following on from the PIXELPICS series, I have been experimenting further with methods of 'deconstructing' images ... I call these PIXELMORPHS

They have a rather disturbing effect on the eye and can be quite hard to look at for any period of time...

Originals for comparison ...

PIXELPICS 2

Here are some more in the PIXELPICS series in colour...

The original for comparison ...

PIXELPICS 1

I have been playing around with deconstructing images by reducing them to the most basic of pixels needed to still be (just) recognisable... I think it is something related to the COVID lockdown doing strange things to my brain after such extended periods of time...

They might have function as large prints on a wall for anyone curious enough to ponder them for a while, but I find the delicacy of the greys quite interesting for their abstract qualities... If you stand back far enough you can just about perceive the original subject matter ...

Here are the original images for comparison...
