NZ_Doubftful Sound

These images were taken on a stunning overnight trip on a boat on Doubtful Sound ... Leaving from Lake Manapouri (near Teanau), it is an hours trip across the very beautiful lake, arriving at a hydro electric plant, then another bus trip of an hour to get to the harbour on Doubtful sound (this part of NZ is called Fiordland)... it is an overnight trip on the purpose built boat and the light on the mountains changed constantly ... it was impossible to stop photographing... mists, rain, burst of light through the clouds, dolphins, penguins and seals... a trip in small aluminium dinghies to get a closer look at the cliffs and bays ... overnight in one of the calm side parts of the sound... an excursion into the open Tasman sea, then back to port... really good food and wine on board as well as expert commentary on the sights and creatures... amazing...
