Industrials #5 (Coode Is.)

These images are abstracted sections of the huge discarded chemical storage tanks that were left after the disastrous and dangerous fires caused by lightning strikes at the Coode Island storage facility on the Melbourne docks in 1991... it was impossible to get access to the site at any stage, despite my best efforts, and it was a toxic mess for a considerable length of time. However, a year or so after the accident, I managed to locate the 'de-toxed' tanks in a holding yard, some distance from the Coode Island site. Access was still difficult (a long story!) and I managed to get caught by no less than the managing director of the company involved (another long story)... however, here are the results...
