PIXELMORPHS 2

Here is another from my PIXELMORPH series

I have been playing with a number of methods to reduce images to their most basic form...

Here is an example showing such variations ...

PIXELMORPHS 1

Following on from the PIXELPICS series, I have been experimenting further with methods of 'deconstructing' images ... I call these PIXELMORPHS

They have a rather disturbing effect on the eye and can be quite hard to look at for any period of time...

PIXELPICS 2

Here are some more in the PIXELPICS series in colour...

PIXELPICS 1

I have been playing around with deconstructing images by reducing them to the most basic of pixels needed to still be (just) recognisable... I think it is something related to the COVID lockdown doing strange things to my brain after such extended periods of time...

They might have function as large prints on a wall for anyone curious enough to ponder them for a while, but I find the delicacy of the greys quite interesting for their abstract qualities... If you stand back far enough you can just about perceive the original subject matter ...

Random iPhone Pics

A few more randoms from the iPhone recently ...

And some recent skies ...

Stormy Skies

These iPhone pics go way back to February this year but seem Blog worthy...

Landscape Experiment

I have been making some new Photoshop Actions of late as well as playing with strange colour manipulations... here is a rather extreme example of some recent 'play'... rather like a Martian landscape (I think I must be suffering from post Covid lockdown syndrome)...

Botanic Gardens

On a visit to the Melbourne Botanic Gardens (with the grandkids), I came across this rather odd juxtaposition of forms (a storage shed clad in printed graphics and the landscape)....

Me & Bernie O'Regan

A friend sent me this pic from 1992, with me on the 5"x4" and Bernie standing in the shadows... all rather nostalgic, really, as it makes me realise I was actually younger once! It is also a reminder of the days when I was at my peak, producing large format work for exhibitions, getting out with friends and generally enjoying myself...
